It just doesn’t stop ! Afghan asylum seeker arrested on suspicion of murdering 87-year-old a grandmother in Jena, Germany

Today, Sunday evening, the judge at Gera District Court issued an arrest warrant against a 23-year-old man from Afghanistan. The charge was manslaughter. The accused is accused of killing an 87-year-old woman who lived with him in the same house in Jena. As reported, the pensioner was reported missing by her daughter on Friday. The search for the woman then began. Her apartment was opened and the cellar was searched.The woman’s body was found there in the early hours of Saturday morning. The 23-year-old asylum seeker was quickly suspected of having committed the crime. After intensive investigations, he was arrested on Saturday around 2 p.m. by special police forces in Erfurt in front of a shopping mall.  The autopsy of the pensioner’s corpse took place on Saturday, which resulted in a violent death of the woman. In addition, extensive forensic measures were carried out in the victim’s apartment, as well as in the perpetrator’s apartment, and at the location of the body in the cellar of the apartment building and in its outside area, both on Saturday and today, Sunday. They were used to preserve evidence. The accused will be admitted to a prison this evening.
