Ghazi Hamad, nach Ansicht der in Gaza “regierenden” Hamas “Palestinian deputy minister of foreign affairs”, erklärte kürzlich, “our sole enemy is the occupation”.
Letztere, “die Okkupation”, gibt es freilich in Gaza gar nicht mehr, wie Mahmoud Zahhar, ein Vereinsbruder Ghazi Hamads im Januar 2012 einigermaßen ratlos bestätigte:
“‘Against whom could we demonstrate in the Gaza Strip? When Gaza was occupied, that model was applicable,’ Zahhar said.”
Was macht man also als “Widerstandsbewegung”, der der Feind, gegen den man “demonstrieren” könnte, abhanden gekommen ist? Man drangsaliert “das eigene Volk”:
“Hamas police Wednesday prevented Gaza students seeking to travel to Egypt through Rafah crossing to reach their colleges abroad from leaving the Strip, according to the students. [..]
Students said that Hamas did this because they coordinated their travel with the Palestinian embassy in Cairo, as requested by the Egyptian authority to facilitate their travel.”
“During a meeting in his Ramallah office with media representatives who will accompany hajj pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, Habbash highlighted that Hamas did not send passports of 300 guides and medical and administrative teams to the Saudi consulate in Cairo to give them visas.”
Daß die Jüdische Stimme für einen gerechten Frieden ihre Website nicht mehr aktualisiert, da ihre Mitglieder damit beschäftigt sind, lange Protestbriefe an die “Regierung” in Gaza zu schreiben, ist wahrscheinlich ein Gerücht.
